    @cbarge is right, convertible rear seats are prone to rusting out especially in the lower frame corners. @ayilar had that experience on his 70 300. Always pop for new foam seat buns and burlap when covering. You have to be pretty aggressive w/ pushing in and then pull up on the lower seat...

    Yes that is OEM insulation, Detroit Muscle Technologies sells firewall insulation kits and kicker panel insulation is included in them just like Big_John said.

    Nice paint detail. Masking was well done w/ good attention to detail. Good finish work on your dash lenses. A first class job done here.

    Big John was a bid help w/ this repair. Removal of the vinyl was fairly easy with the aid of a 3' wide paint scraper. Remove the staples w/ a pair of needle nose pliers. Pop off the 300 emblem. Remove power window switch. The carpet at the bottom of the door is separated by cutting the stitches...

    Thanks for the link and the added photos, that and the info provided is a big help. What did you separate the back board from steel top panel. What did you use for foam backing under the vinyl.

    Has anyone attempted to replace the backing board on a 69 Chrysler 300 door interior panel. Have watched some YouTube videos on the subject. None really address this style panel. Info w/ pics would be very helpful.

    bucket seat foam padding

    Bought my seat buns from PG Classic Restoration Parts. Not a exact fit, but very close. Had to and a little foam to the rear seat back for a perfect fit. First pic is before new seat buns.
