:) And those engine bolts, too. :poke: Time for aluminum foil and posterboard. @david hill Did you really use the word 'content'??? I can imagine you saying it, but not typing it.

    My unexpected Hurst 300 Find

All of the recent comments align with my thoughts. The 2 circled areas provide 2 cross-sections, and the hole locations, slot dimensions, etc, would be simple caliper-measuring to the nearest .01" or so. I am starting to wonder if hogging the thing from a block of plastic is perhaps a better...

That is likely a better idea, but I don't have one yet.

    My unexpected Hurst 300 Find

Doggone, seeing the word 'flare' used incorrectly bothers me even more than people talking about the breaks on their car. Glad Chrysler used the proper word. @david hill If you get desperate, that part looks like it could be thermoformed from ABS and then painted to match. Textured ABS...

    Fury dashboard speakers

I've been using this Boss BX55 active crossover (~$75) for most of my audio stuff (with amp boards from amazon) - setups in the basement workshop, computer desk, house garage, detached garage. A sickness for sure. But I've developed a useful 'system' for making decent-sounding audio on a...

    Fury dashboard speakers

@bnz84 Exactly what I was going to say - that smaller neodymium magnets might be the answer for speakers that would fit. I'm a car-audio nut also, but I've not delved into dash-top speakers too much, because the options for things that fit are too limited. (and none of my cars take 3.5s anyway)...

Oh, I know. I'm just the guy that picked up the gun by the dead body when the police showed up. I learned it from social-justice warriors and the mainstream media.

Most likely all of this damage occurred when I was driving Buttercup in Illinois during a FCBO get-together weekend. Imagine how bad it would be if I hadn't broken the motormount near Rockford???

What is the Likelihood that Reproduction Windshields Will Happen for our Fuselage Cars?

The last windsheild I got (1 year ago) was from Classic Industries via Summit. Was a screaming deal ($127IIRC) because it was the last one. Shipping wasn't too bad, either. It arrived in a box 1/2 as thick as pictured and no wood bracing. It had minimal expanding-foam supports, and was able to...

Can't tell if those are stainless or steel. If stainless, they'll require special sealant on the threads. Stainless can gall and seize when tightening tapered pipe into steel/iron.

    hemi or not to hemi

Whether new Hemi, bigblock or building a 360/408 - How much money do you have to spend on all of it? Engine swaps, even if you have a complete donor, are a great arena for cost overruns.

Meet Buttercup, a 1972 New Yorker Brougham 2-door Hardtop

After I saw my first valley pan with rust holes in it many years ago, replacing this part became one of the first repairs I did on any bigblock car I brought home. Given the opportunity, rodents love to make nests around the rear side of the intake, and their urine will eat thru that pan over...

RV is a reference to a stock-type cam, but with a bit more lift and maybe a little more duration, to provide more torque.
