Tuning EFI requires knowing how an engine runs and what it needs when conditions are changing.

The only manual transmission in a Fusey was a 3-on the tree, available with 318 and 383-2 only, and IIRC only in 1969, maybe 1970.

Ran a 4ga wire from alt to battery cable (starter relay as Davea said is OK too).
Be aware that only a portion of your current is now going thru the ammeter, so it will react very little to changes. At least mine does.

That's the only way to make that happen. Buy or sell a car and something better (on the surface, anyway) will happen right after that makes you *think* you made a mistake. OTOH, wait to do it perfectly and it'll never occur. C'est la vie...

I wouldn't give up on the TQ, if it is the correct one for the car it is calibrated for the engine. Some Eddy carbs are calibrated rich, some lean (you must research the specs to know) and unless you get a WB o2 gauge and a calibration kit, and spend lots of time...
