    Plastic Headlight Bezel Rechroming

Thanks for the input. I may try the DIY route on a junk part and see how that goes, plus do some research on the professional route.

    Plastic Headlight Bezel Rechroming

On my 74 Fury I have two intact headlight bezels, but the finish is shot. Should I keep trolling ebay for ones in better shape or is there somewhere I can send them to get refinished?

    POR-15, or something better?

Bending/adjusting lower radiator support 74 Monaco

It's still coming along. I've been paused for a bit waiting on the rebuilt brake booster and other brake parts, but that should all be arriving over the next couple weeks. I've been hesitant to start any of the non-brake work stuff for fear of losing this war to whatever my car's equivalent is...

Bending/adjusting lower radiator support 74 Monaco

I borrowed the jack from my 05 GTO and it couldn't have been a more perfect size. A few cranks once it was snug and the support let me get the new radiator in.

Bending/adjusting lower radiator support 74 Monaco

I got the car like this so I can only speculate based on the damage. It does look like it was hit from front/below on the passenger side. I think you are correct that I will need to unbolt the lower support as well as the one in the middle to encourage it to flex.

Bending/adjusting lower radiator support 74 Monaco

The lower radiator support on my Monaco is tweaked and the bend is preventing me from dropping in a new radiator because it impacts the lower tank. I was thinking the easiest way to bend this back would be to put a jack in between the frame and the radiator support and crank it a little bit...

    Vinyl Top Inspection

I'm going to be looking at a Formal Era car soon that has a vinyl top. From pictures there appears to be some discoloration on the lighter color top near where the top meets the windshield. How do I try and determine what is going on underneath the top and what that will eventually mean to me...

    Cleaning up floorpans/trunkpan

Ah, I get it. That trunk looks incredible compared to where you started with it.

    Cleaning up floorpans/trunkpan

I should have been more specific, I definitely understand why a full replacement or welding wasn't an option. It also isn't for me. What I was trying to get a better handle on is why the PC7/tape/concrete coating vs POR15 + tape. I appreciate your perspective and realize I may be over...

    Cleaning up floorpans/trunkpan

Fair enough. Do you think your method ended up looking better, was cheaper, and/or more durable than a more direct approach?

    Cleaning up floorpans/trunkpan

Thanks for the link, there was a ton of good stuff in there. The way I read it you used the following process: 1-Wire brush 2-Skyco - OSPHO 3-PC-7 & drywall fiberglass tape 4-Rustoleum Deck & Concrete Restore 10x 5-Zolatone Trunk Spatter 6-Clearcoat Looks like the Ace Hardware down the...

    Cleaning up floorpans/trunkpan

Went at it with the angle grinder using a polycarbonate abrasive bad, a twisted wire cup, and a twisted wire wheel. Front floor pans are better than I thought, trunk is worse. I'm giving them all another bath with Evaporust / Metal Rescue, but after that I'm not sure what I should do to...

    Cleaning up floorpans/trunkpan

Started on the trunk today. First just hit it with a stiff bristle brush and a shop vac to get the chunks out. Then got after it with a 4.5in angle gringer with a polycarbonate abrasive pad from Harbor Freight. Bad lighting makes those black spots look like holes, but they aren't. There...

    Cleaning up floorpans/trunkpan

Fair assumption that you had to cut out and replace the red section?

    Cleaning up floorpans/trunkpan

I think the trunk looks worse than it actually is as I haven't had a chance to vaccum and wash that out like I did with the floorpans. As far as wire wheels, just something like this?

    Cleaning up floorpans/trunkpan

I have some rust on the floor and trunk pan of my project car, but nothing that seems to need more than light resurfacing and I'm trying to figure out the best way to clean it up. I've seen threads where people just hit it with a wire brush, some marine clean, and POR15 it, but that seems like...
