That's a great looking car. Good luck with the sale if you do indeed part with it.

74-75 Fury or Monaco. What is the appeal?

Direct message me and I’ll send you a contact who bought my coupe. I believe he was going to take some things he needed and part the rest.

74-75 Fury or Monaco. What is the appeal?

I sold a 74 Monaco coupe that had solid rear quarters to a guy in Florida. Let me see if I can find his info. I have some Brougham interior panels, a solid small block radiator, and some taillights if you are looking for any of that stuff.

74 Fury - Wiper Link Clip

Took the time to read the FSM and extract the wiper linkage system since the passenger wiper wasn’t moving. Looks like the only thing wrong is I’m missing a retaining clip. Any idea what this clip is called and where I can get one?

    Road trip!

Very cool, that’s where I’ll go as well then. Did you install them yourself? If so, was it manageable?

    Road trip!

Where did you get new leafs? I think my 74 Fury will need them eventually and I’d like to hear what worked well for others.

    Resurrect the family 77 NYB?

Might depend on your budget, timeline, and ability. Flip through rockauto.com to get an idea of what mechanical parts are available off the shelf and how much they cost.

    Brake Refresh - 74 Fury

Spent a ton of time with the multimeter trying to figure out why the brake lights stopped working after I got it back together. Turns out it was the fuse, which is a friendly reminder to myself to start from square one and check simple things first. How I didn’t notice the door buzzer stopped...

    8 1/4 Diff Service

Oil actually looked pretty fresh, so this probably wasn’t need, but it’s better to know. Now off to scrape some gasket.

    8 1/4 Diff Service

I have no clue how long it’s been since the last diff service on my Fury. Should I suck the oil out with a pump and put new stuff in or should I pop the cover, fully drain it and inspect the insides? If I pop the cover I already have a new fel pro gasket and black RTV for the reassembly.

    Brake Refresh - 74 Fury

New master and booster on, connected, and brakes all bled. Test drive went well.

    Brake Refresh - 74 Fury

Three or four ounces of brake fluid drained out the vacuum port when I tipped it over. Maybe I’ll hose it off, degrease it, evapo rust the outside so that doesn’t get worse and store it.

    Brake Refresh - 74 Fury

I definitely will not throw out the old one. The one I’m installing is a reman from booster dewey. I’m debating sending this one in for a rebuild now as I’m afraid if I let it sit with all this brake fluid in it, it will be beyond repair if I ever needed it.

    Brake Refresh - 74 Fury

I had to take the brake light switch out to get the pedal bolt out. I’m actually worried I may have damaged it somewhere in the process as the brake lights weren’t working after I wrapped up for the night last night. Doesn’t look like anyone makes the cruise control compatible switch, so I hope...
