WANTED Piece of trunk pan for 1970 Polara

I am looking for a piece of a trunk pan for a 70 Polara. My guess is a 71 will fit as well but not sure about other years. Mitchell's Interchange says the trunk lid is the same for 70-73 Polara/Monaco so 70-73 pans may be the same as well. I only need a small piece of it, not the entire pan...

you will.....I'm going to park it next to Dave's so the judges will avoid the whole area and he won't get any trophies.

    Itching Again........

I am not hand wringing.........have long wanted 2 cars, a vert and a stick htp(or vert). The Polara isn't going anywhere, I just want old car #2 and figured if i have enough $$ to buy a 'beater' stick car then why not look around? If i buy the right car I can drive it for a few years and sell...

    Itching Again........

True, but we still have a limited # of cars with stick shifts, most of which are much more desirable than automatics - hence I am in the same position I was when shopping a few months ago.

    Itching Again........

Yes, but that is easier said than done........you see what it took to find my Polara and get it here, and nothing else has surfaced since then.........well, same deal here. Does not have to be a rag, just a flr shift car with some zip - a driver. The one I was looking at near me is too high...

    Itching Again........

asking 10,500 was only 1 other outside pic so tough to tell what cond it was really in. What is strange is that there was no 4 barrel version of the 300 so either a) he was wrong and it's a 2v, b) it is actually a 340-4, or c) he found a 4v manifold from another buick engine that fit on the...

    Itching Again........

Well, I won't be abler to find one either way - same problems, either junk or too nice. My lack of $$ doesn't help much either. Someone in MD had a '68 Impala or Caprice 4 spd wagon last summer, I forget what his name was.

    Itching Again........

it is high...........but who else has one? and original turquoise exterior.....not too terribly overpriced if the body isn't too rusty.

    Itching Again........

that Caprice was great......I drove it, you could start that wide ratio 4 spd off in second. If I was thinking the same way I am now I'd have bought it. Guy that did lived in north NJ, I sure hope it wasn't there when Sandy went through.

    Itching Again........

Can't..........it's on private prop and the car isn't for sale. This is one of those guys who will likely die and the car will be taken by family or auctioned on Ebay. It can be either a 351 or 429 according to the literature I've found. Car has been sitting since the early-mid 80's. It's a...

    Itching Again........

yeah, this guy didn't even let the tires cool on the trailer.......i bet he went down there and lowballed, said "i'll take it right now, etc" funny, does not say whether or not the car has a title to go with it
