    Leaf spring spreader tool

Did the springs on my ‘75 Monaco without any stretcher or special tools... Came apart without loosing any limbs lol. I used a ratchet strap during re-assembly. I attached the rear of the springs first and pulled the front up to be bolted in place.

46rh to 400, will it live?

The 47rh was put behind the 2nd gen Cummins trucks, and were able to take a little abuse. In stock form at that power level, I’m not sure if it will last very long. But should have no problems after a few upgrades/performance rebuild. in a heavy 3/4 ton truck at 500hp, the input shaft, output...

    Trans fluid?

Walmart’s dex/merc here as well, with no problems the last several years. Also used +4 as well in the past. Stuff must be liquid gold though the way it is priced....

    Advice on intake manifolds

Don’t know if it will fit under the hood but the RPM intake is a great manifold. Fits under the hood of my ‘73 with no problems. As mentioned, will need some other goodies to make it work.

    Did some trading today

Good! Thanks! Luckily we got nothing but a little breeze from the storm. No rain or anything. Its been absolutely beautiful the last couple days after it’s passed. Temps in the 70’s and sun. We had the 2nd hottest september since 1895 here this year. Its been a nasty summer. P.S. The shop...

    Did some trading today

The local chrysler dealer shop is completely open. They have one bay door in the back to block the wind in the winter, but the front of the shop is completely open. Same with most of the other dealers around. As mentioned it’s pretty normal to see the mom and pop type places like this, but was...

    1978 NYB New Engine.....

I love the 3.55’s in the monaco, even with a 727. Much better highway manners then the 4.10s in the newport. But yes, she is a gas sucking fool now... one thing I miss about the small block. Stan, do you know anyone/where who repros the H block that hooks up to the evaporatore? Need one to...

    Edelbrock 1406

Well, both the Cordoba, and truck 440 are obviously gone.. But the one on the Monaco has been doing good! Granted I don’t have a ton of miles on it, but have not had any problems. I do get a bit of heat soak with it, but I expect it now lol This is exactly what I went through with the one on...

    1978 NYB New Engine.....

Congrats Bob!! Look forward to seeing this happen. I know you’ve been talking about it for a while now. I recommend these guys, with the poly mounts. I installed a conversion set of mounts from them into the monaco with the 440. Was very pleased with them, and they bolted up right in place...

I've got a 440 in my 1977 Yorker. Anyone have any helpful tips?

Ill go against the grain a little. I understand re sale value, and what not. But why worry about it? Its my car. Unless its a low mileage time capsule, I wouldnt be afraid to update it a bit. I planned on running a fitech efi on my formal, but $$ hasnt let me do it yet. I still planned for it...

    Edelbrock 1406

I think it would have been worth it for $60 + a rebuild kit. Others are right though. It seems their quality control is very sporatic. I’ve had 3 come through here the last 2 years. First on the Córdoba. It ran great, but started to leak a little being an older carb. Threw a rebuild kit at it...

    CRATE OR REBUILD ?

Mopar is just releasing the hellcat engine in crate form :poke: Branded as the hellcrate, for a cool $23000. But it does seem to come with just about everything you need to convert.

    Edelbrock 1406

Finally had a minute, with some decent weather to mess with the carb. Got it pulled, and top off. According to edelbrock, theresupposed to be set 7/16" from the trop plate. One was at 3/8", and the other at 5/16"-1/4". Tweeked em both to between 7/16"-1/2". More towards 1/2". Seems to have...
