I would for sure throw a layer of fat mat, or any sound deadener/heat barrier down to help with heat, and noise. Amazing how much it can help.

Thanks big John! I believe SEM offers a spray texture product. Being I have to re dye the stuff anywhase, just another coating before paint. Might have to be the way to go..
