65-68 Chrysler Grille Styling - comments and questions

I gave you an agree for the black out like cbarge mentions, I am fortunate to have 2 sets of grill and tail lights , originals untouched and the others blacked out. Blacked out gives my 67 Newport a more sinister vibe. Also totally in agreement the 68 300 is the best, you see one approaching you...

    New Member, New Polara

Welcome Steve, just to be on the safe side, I would trailer the car, so many factors to consider, tires, bushings, gas tank, rad, fluids, rust, brakes and so on, how long has the car been sitting? Sounds like you know your way around cars so why risk messing it up by trying to drive it down and...

    No work

On paper I'm retired, being a farmer I'm not retired, if I stop I will rust to death. On the tractor today creating wind rows for the wife to bale, once we were done it was off to Dairy Queen for the usual Peanut Buster Parfaie/ Blizzard in the 67 Newport and took the long way to get there and...

I'm thinking about getting a vintage trailer!

A nice retro trailer , Shasta ,Serro Scotty, Boler are just as expensive as the retro car. Had a hitch plate bolted to the bumper of my 67 Newport, not sure it would have been good for anything over 12'. I don't think the plate I have is factory made, it did not show on the build sheet neither...

    Carb to Distributor vaccum line

Spoken like a true mechanic, beyond me as I am not a mechanic, the car did not want to start until I replaced the hose with a new one. Just had the car out for a cruise and all was well. Thanks for your response.

    Carb to Distributor vaccum line

Hello all, Hope someone has some insight to a recent issue I've had with my 67 Newport recently back on the road. With all my enthusiasm to drive my Newport, I use any excuse to take it out for a drive. I found the car was riding a bit rougher, each time I took her out, where yesterday while...

Good candidate for a wrap, a nice white pearl would look killer on this car, try Vvivid. If your paint sections are still smooth you can lay wrap right over it, you may have to work the unfinished sections befor laying wrap. Your tail light section can be covered in carbon fiber wrap or just...

There was the odd store who would stock US smokes but the lates pack I've seen is in this post! Many of the wrap companies have a faux wood grain version, camo, pearls, metalics mattes and color changing varieties. They also have clears that many folks use on hoods and front fender extensions to...

Being a one man show with a bit of assistance from the wife I would do one panel at a time over the course of the spring whenever I could fit it in. The name of the game is slow and patience, 2 people to lay a sheet on a panel working downward keeping an imaginary horizontal line of work...

3CD, slabs are much easier to wrap than a fusie but one common problem...the fender extensions are extemely difficult to wrap due to too many curves and turns. My budget is low, I have no money to pay for a fancy paint job and money you would never get back on a resale, so my next move was to...

She has full moons for more cleavage, to the dismay of many on here this car is wrapped just like my Polara. The wrap actually protects the car and whom ever is the next cartaker can just peel it off and do what they want. I got bettter at the craft of wrapping doing a second car, still a couple...

How much money we waisted is insane! Starting this week in Canada each individual butt will have a warning printed on it. Not only will the butts kill you but so will all the ink you inhale. How hot is it in Tampa? Which car fairs better in the heat, the Newport or your Riv?

I am fortunate to live close to a wreckers where I was able to salvage a second set of tail lights a second complete grill and another set of bumpers. I even managed to get 2 sets of lettering allowing me to black out some parts and keep the originals as they came with the car. Happy as a lark...

Hi all, update on my 67 Newport, posts #44 to #46 which was a brown turd is back on the road baby! "Smoke Money", purchased for the equivalent of 295 packs of large smokes in Canada got her certification today. This car had to be ground down to bare metal due to the extreme amount of gouging...

    67 Newport power steering belt

I see the belt CBARGE recomends, the 15411 Goodyear Gatorback is only 41.1 inches which would work. The above described belt is now under the Continental brand of belt. Still described as a 15411 belt X .5 inches wide.
