    1968 Chrysler Town and Country

rea @ayilar recalls my experience correctly. In hot weather testing at the proving grounds where I had a 4 month job stint, it was more than clear that Chrysler was indeed trying very hard to save cost and its radiators were marginal in hot weather even when they were new. GM had the best...

    Let's see some Wagons!

Interior looks great but is it really stock since it seems to have 1970 Chrysler 300 bucket seats in it and I am not sure consoles were an available option - maybe on the latter item?

    The Servprolara

Those bucket seats are very hard to find............I ended up buying a 69 Monaco parts car just to get a set of those for the 69 Monaco coupe I want to restore some day.............................great score!!

    1970 Town and Country

With a wagon and the 383-4, I would certainly entertain changing the radiator over to a 26" and a corresponding core support instead of the "shorty" - I have to wonder whether Chrysler still used the higher stall torque converter in the 383-4 package when installed in a relatively heavy wagon...

My 1970 Dodge Polara 9 passenger.

Looking good...................... You and @T-revorNobody have very similar wagons now and both are getting upgraded. Progress is great to see on both fronts.

    Let's see some Wagons!

You knew all of those potential issues since I told you it didn't run and the radiadtor was empty and you saw photos of everything. Besides totally rust free, original but worn very desirable aztec gold paint, very straight body and all the very nice optional wheel covers that aren't cheap to...

So that is what Xenon did with the wagon I sold him too cheap!!! I do like the wheel covers though and it does look nice except for all the useless smoke!

69-71 Town & Country Wagon Headliner Replacement

It is important first of all to find a really competent interior restoration guy. The guy I used was just excellent and I helped make the job easier for him. I am also assuming you are talking about doing a C body wagon - mine was a 1969 model T&C so in my case I went to Murray Park in Tiffin...

69-71 Town & Country Wagon Headliner Replacement

Dan's and Don's wagons clearly have had excellent care over time and were kept out of the burning sun for any lengthy intervals to look as mint as they do. 95% of the cars I see with the perforated hardboard headliners after some 50 years are just junk and falling down. The cloth headliners...

69-71 Town & Country Wagon Headliner Replacement

I like that yours is color keyed. Most of the ones before your model year were all white perforated hardboard which also was a turn off to me. yours looks much better being color keyed. If you keep yours in a garage all the time, it should indeed last a lifetime. Few cars ever received such...

69-71 Town & Country Wagon Headliner Replacement

My recollection is that when I was considering installing new perforated hardboard about 2 years ago was that the cost of each section was $200 - $300. To look like new again, I also needed the retaining strips which were also expensive. In the end it would have cost me twice as much as...

69-71 Town & Country Wagon Headliner Replacement

So what is the cost for all of those perforated hardboards including all the horizontal strips that hold them together? Last time I checked, it was very high. Personally, I will never put that stuff in one of my vehicles for the sake of originality. If you use your wagon at all, over time...

    72 sport suburban woodgrain

The best advice I could provide you is to read through this thread by @MonacoBlue, as he has been through it all including dealing with the woodgrain in a very well thought out approach: 73 Monaco wagon It is a lengthy read but well worth your time to go through it. The owner is also very...

I screwed up - hadn't driven it for awhile and it was the absence of the tail gate handle that I was recalling was annoying as @BLIMP indicated. My bad...........................:BangHead:
