    Tail Light and Turn Signals.

Another culprit can be the turn signal switch in the steering column...Mopar decided that all the light functions should run through the turn signal switch so over time contacts get dirty and worn, as well as the plastic tends to warp over time from heat and age thus loosing additional points of...

    Radio interference, I'm out....

I agree with NY69...you can never have enough grounds, and make sure to clean all your current ones and ensure they have a nice clean connection from battery post to engine, to rad support etc. Also was there not supposed to be a condenser/suppressor hooked to the coil to mitigate power...

    Magnetic Impulse Ignition System

Sounds more like a carb issue....I have messed around with OEM AVS and AFB carbs, different jets, meetering rods, springs and could never get a stock one to perform well. I had one motor that I eventually just bought a 750 Edelbrock with vacuum secondaries and that sure woke the motor up, had...

    1969 Sequential turn signals

I remember there being a thread about someone fixing their sequential taillights and showed how the system worked...little motor that drives cams that flick the individual lights on/off....pretty cool mechanical set up.

Petronoix III. What's the Good, Bad and Ugly of these things?

Not sure what petronix (1, 2 or ??) I had but had one in the dizzy on the 440 in the wagon and it was a dog, couldn't figure out how a 440 with a 3.23 suregrip couldn't even get the rear tires to break loose even in the rain!! Finally decided one day to convert to the OEM mopar electronic...

Ignition wiring (My car should be on fire)

I have kept all the wiring harnesses from my parts vehicles over the years....little pieces of wire with the correct colours and correct connections are invaluable when repairing old OEM harnesses.

    68 Fury Indicator Problem

My first thought was bad grounds as well. I know I also had issues getting the fender turn signals working right on my 68 Coronet years ago....same thing just really tough to get a ground. Your lights starting to work after some wet driving is classic bad ground symptom.

Is This a Good Distributor for an HEI Conversion?

Can't go wrong with the OEM set-up.. See Wollfen's posts above for your best solution.... ;)

Brake Lights Not Working 67 Monaco Wagon?

You need a puller to get the steering wheel off. This is a proper steering wheel puller... But I use one of these...it's tight to get the bolts in place but it works....

Brake Lights Not Working 67 Monaco Wagon?

All the lights, running, brake, turnsignal etc all run through the turn signal switch in the steering column....my guess is a worn out and warped TS switch.

Manual antenna debacle what’s up? 68 Polara

I remove my antenna when I have my car cover on the wagon and forgot I layed it on my wipers one time....drove off and didn't realize until hours later. Went hunting for it and found it in an intersection, had been driven over a bunch of times. Ordered a "reproduction" mast but it is not...

    Magnums starter

If the old starter is not spinning the motor fast enough you can gave starting issues, I know this is very important on my old cummins motors. ;) I have swapped in a mini-starter on all my V8's for many years now....always and excellent upgrade.

hazzards wont work on right side

FYI you may need to adjust the wire location on that switch compared to your original...regardless if the colour of the wires are the same. Make sure you trace the wires from your original and mark where they are placed on the connector. I know I had to move one of the wires when I used the...

hazzards wont work on right side

Only issue I can think of is perhaps the wiring might be shorter on the A/B body switches compared to the C-body unit. But I'm pretty sure..???...I did use an original 68/69 B-Body turn signal switch in my 68 T/C wagon when it's switch went south. Worse case scenario is you order the cheaper...

hazzards wont work on right side

Sounds like a classic turn signal switch failure....been there a couple times and when one of them starts to go you can pull your hair out trying to figure out why one light works or flashes but others don't etc.

    'Ol Bess's Starter (I think)

For the front headlights I would put them on relays, much cheaper then LED headlights. Saves having all the power run through the bulkhead and switch. This is a very common, and necessary upgrade for the 89-93 1st Gen cummins trucks. For the 4 headlight system you might need 3 relays, but you...

    'Ol Bess's Starter (I think)

So the noise starts up even before the starter engages, and the motor is turned over? Seems like you should be able to track down the noise easy enough then, but give the starter a couple good whacks with a bar, or hammer and see if things change.

    Ready to run electronic distributors.

Personally I would never run an aftermarket dizzy again. I prefer the stock mopar electronic distributor system, parts are readily available from pretty much anywhere, and the system is pretty much bullet proof!
