Scored me a Crown Coupe !

By the amount of debris in the windows I'd say yes it has been, but it's also from around the Boise ID area and that is fairly dry area out that way so it's probably survived fairly well. Congrats and I look forward to seeing how well it cleans up!

So I bought this one today.

I appreciate the old work horse trailer but I'd suggest slapping on a fresh coat of tremclad/rustoleum black. As a commercial trucker I would call that trailer "scale bait" as it sits. ;)

    Riding in Cloud Nine tonight!

Love your Imp and the fact that you drive the snot out of it...big Atta Boy to you... I have truly stopped caring what most people do to their cars, there are enough fully restored cars to cover most vehicles out there, and the few slightly modified or even heavily modified cars...

    turn signal switch install hack?

That looks like a lot of material that needs to be removed. IF you can't figure out what column you have, or what switch you need, available or not, then I might finally decide to start modifying the new one. Do you have a pic side by side of the two switches?

Bombing around in the beater Imperial

When I had my 70 Sport Fury I drove it year round for several years....was a ton of fun. And those rear window vents actually work really well.

Usually the V codes were some sort of pin stripe or small side body line decal I think.

1969 Imperial Sequential Turn Signals In Motion

I know I had always assumed it was a primitive electronic set-up, not a mechanical driven system. So cool seeing how the mechanical system works. Thank you for posting that up it really enjoyed seeing how it works.

    My 1970 Imperial

It's the big axles with floating hubs that use the gear oil to lube the axle bearings....my Dana 60's and 70's are all this way. Not sure about pass vehicle Dana axle though?

    My 1970 Imperial

Premium fuel at almost all stations is pretty much Ethanol free. I use Marine Sta-bil additive in all my gas usage machines, even my ride on mower, weed eater, chain saw , pressure washer etc. I add it to the gas can when I buy the fuel, or straight to the tank of the vehicle. Helps neutralize...

'Ol Bess (1966 Crown Imperial) is home. What an adventure.

Bess is one sexy lady...Congrats on the car. And a big ATTA BOY for flying out and driving the Ol' girl home.....great memories started right from the get go! Just on a side not to your exhaust leak problem....I have had more exhaust leaks over the years when I used to run exhaust gaskets...

    Mr C's Christmas Imperial

The only problem with doing that is...if your were to get into an accident and they find out you were not hauling the designated vehicle on the paper work, you will not have any coverage. You would have to pay out of pocket for the insurance claims. Just FYI.....;) I no longer have to worry...

    Mr C's Christmas Imperial

U-haul let you put a 68 Imp convertible on their trailer! I had to fight with them to let me put my 48 Desoto on one, and I'm sure it weighs less then that Imp. ;) Cool car....what are the options and such on this one....and plans?

    I need a tool. Help?

Never came across that one before...I was searching for one for my 48 Desoto a couple years ago. I eventually found a nice HD one off E-bay, not like the ones pictured earler, but still very good. If the axles have not been off in years, then I would start hitting it with PB blaster, and...

Reminded me of a trick my Grandfather pulled on me. I was just starting to have an interest in cars, in my early teens, sure I was being a condescending prick to Grandpa while he was showing me how to work on a motor. Anyway we needed to shut the motor down so Grandpa asked me to pull the coil...
