Number six not firing in timer cap

Sounds like your distributor shaft might have gotten bent somehow. Look at the inside of the cap, does it look like the opposite cylinder, (#1), has a deep cut in the terminal? Check it out and keep us posted.

Broken ignition part2 ... hear the sound...

GM made the tilt columns for Chrysler. They used the same part into the 90's. I don't think it would be available from Chrysler anymore, but maybe GM, or a bone yard.

Broken ignition part2 ... hear the sound...

The ignition switch is mounted on the outside of the column, under the dash. You will have to remove the cover under the column, and the left A/C duct and then lower the column to access the switch. ON A TILT COLUMN THE IGNITION SWITCH IS NOT INSIDE THE COLUMN.

Broken ignition part2 ... hear the sound...

YES, that is the wrong ignition switch. Your car has a "Tilt" Column, and the one you ordered is for a "Non Tilt" column. 67 Monaco- Blows fuse turning key from off to IGN??

When this first happened you blew the "Fusible Link". It is very unsafe to replace this with a fuse. As for the short, it is somewhere in your main ignition, run circuit. Time to get a F.S.M. and trace it down.

Do they make Headlight wiring harnesses?

Also, your car has two wires for the "Hot" and "Cold" dash warning lights, not one for a temp gauge. I had this problem on a harness I purchased for my 300.

Do they make Headlight wiring harnesses?

I believe it is the top one that goes to the wiper motor, The middle one is the engine and charging system, the bottom one is the main harness for under the hood. Your rear harness runs thru the inside of the vehicle down the drivers side.
