    Wondering Car

Have you checked your front wheel bearings? If they are loose it will make the car wonder..

New UK member , trying to source a brake booster for my 66 440 new yorker

Do you have drum or disc brakes in front? The boosters are different. Give Booster Dewey a call, (503) 238 - 8882, he is highly recommended, and you can see how long it would take for him to turn yours around.

    Schrader T.P.M.S. Retrofit kit

In doing my research, I found many different kits. Most use the plastic valve stem, or a cap that screws on the stem. I believe they are making the kits to bring the older vehicles up to the new standard, (kind of like the third brake light kits from years ago).

    Schrader T.P.M.S. Retrofit kit

I would say it would. The sensors are not that bad to purchase.

    Schrader T.P.M.S. Retrofit kit

The sensors are marked for the first installation, but the reprograming is not hard in case you rotate your tires. Very simple instructions.

    Schrader T.P.M.S. Retrofit kit

Good morning all. I just finished installing this great kit on my Ram pickup. Got it on Amazon for under $150.00. Easy install, and uses the current Chrysler frequency band of 433 mhz. See the attached pictures. Bill.

    Lower ball joints, again

If the previous owner, did not change the lower ball joints when he changed the spindles, that could cause a problem. 1966 disc brake lower ball joints are different to the 1973 spindles. Same lower control arms.

Differences in SLAB steering boxes - advertised to be equivalent 68 Newport but not so

One thing about gearbox fitment that most don't realize is when our cars were new the factory would use a shim under the gearbox to obtain the correct fitment. Also the "C" body gearbox is a larger size than the "B" and "A" body ones.

    Experience Coker Repro Wheels

Glad to hear that. You had me scared there. May I suggest removing a tire from a wheel and then putting the bare wheel on the machine and checking the wheel that way?

    Experience Coker Repro Wheels

Did I read correctly that these tires are 20 years old? If they are over 10 years old they are an accident waiting to happen. If they were supporting the weight of the car, for that long they are probably out of round.

1969 Chrysler New Yorker Booster and Master Cylinder

Not dumbassary at all. This was the time when the transition was happening. I had a 1969 Newport that had drum front brakes. Being very young and stupid, I put the wrong booster on it. The accident was not pretty.

1969 Chrysler New Yorker Booster and Master Cylinder

How about some more information. Does your car have Drum or Disc brakes on the front? They are different masters and boosters. The lines are different for the front port so they could not be mixed up at the factory. Pictures help.

    62 300 brake upgrade

You are in luck. I just got my Feb. 2022 copy of Mopar Action and they have an article on a new kit from Scarebird Brakes. It has all the pictures you need, but doesn't have a part number for the kit. It looks really nice, and you can use the 14" wheels. Good Luck.

B and C body leaf springs

The critical measurement is from the front mounting bushing, to the locator bolt for the rear axle. Since both cars have different wheelbases, they probably won't match up.

Rear Metal Brake Line Size for 1968 Newport

A few members have already noted about Inline tube. You can get each line separately, or the whole kit, and get it in a couple of days, then you won't have to worry about frozen lines again.

    Drop Spindles from Firm Feel

The other body styles are about 2/3's the length of a "C" body. This would throw your steering way out of whack.

    Drop Spindles from Firm Feel

"C" bodies have a larger space for the lower ball joint mounting, these look like the smaller ones.

    Drop Spindles from Firm Feel

To me they look like drum brake spindles, not disc.

Dragging calipers on my '73 conversion

When I did the conversion on my 1966 300, the lines were to short also. I had a set of braided stainless made by inline tube. They were not crazy expensive, and worked out perfectly.
