I would love to get this car, (I have a soft spot for 1973 fury's). I even have a good running 440 and trans, but my health has kept me from working on my Newport so another one is out of the question.
Back in my younger days when I was working in the dealerships, if we had to replace a speedometer, it came with the odometer reading zero. We would have to set the odometer to the mileage on the speedometer being replaced. Not a hard job at all.
OUCH on the hand. Very simple, I was changing out the oil pan on my Newport. I was cleaning the windage tray on my grinders wire wheel. Some how the grinder grabbed it and pulled it out of my grip. I have done this over a thousand times, and this was my first ouchie.
My wife is from Indy, we go...
Thanks. My hand is healing nicely. Started therapy, I have good movement of my fingers, and about 65% of the strength of my other hand. Stitches should come out Friday.
Thanks for thinking of me. Unfortunately I had a small accident two weeks ago, messed up my left hand pretty bad, so working on a car is out of the question until next year. Stay safe guys.
