convertible fuselage header and dutchman panel removal

My apologies for not being clearer. I mean the plates that box in the forward leaf hanger bulkhead. Factory torque box: Without torque box: I'd be interested in those added plates cutout at the factory seams so it can be welded into another car if it's in good solid condition. Thanks!

Hey Ben, great to see all the progress you are making. Did you save the original tank and emissions canister? If so did you line the tank with anything? Keep the documentation coming. Best Carl

    question on harmonic balancer

I am going to replace mine soon with timing chain and gears....and some of the new ones, like the one I will get from 440, has a bolt in weight. So, you do not have to understand, research or figure out. Just pull the OEM, look for a weight on the back side, and do the same on the new one...

Hey guys, my wipers just died. The electric motor turns fine, but the wipers don't move. I believe it might be the wiper linkage bushings which fell apart. Will these work on my 71 Newport? Front Window Windshield Wiper Linkage Arm Bushing Caps Fits Chrysler 6pcs PN | eBay

    Disc brake conversion kits

It's not just about discs being better, but also parts availability over here in Norway. I have found 70-73 parts and will get them so we can swap when/if we decide the drums aren't how we'd like them to be.

NOT MINE 1960 Plymouth Fury Convertible in Thousand Oaks, CA - $95,000

Thanks @marty mopar . This looks like a fantastic example. Not my cup of tea, but this car screams the atomic age (look at the last pic below!) and I'd love to see more. @BLIMP @amazinblue82 @saforwardlook Found the CL ad in LA: 1960 Plymouth Fury for sale by owner - Thousand Oaks, CA - craigslist

    Why was there a motor-mount change from '65 to '66 ?

I’m pretty sure that left mount forward of the steering box is 65 big block only. I believe small block and slant use the more conventional mounting next to the steering box. If you want to bolt a small block to this stub without fab work, I don’t believe that to be possible. As a side note...

    DMT Splash Guard Fitment

@david hill and @71Polara383 used DMT parts for several of my cars, worked well for some and needed adjustments on some others. Very glad DMT is around, even if YMMV.

    Bastardized 1959 "Coronet" build

Pretty sure I was overthinking the whole thing... (it ain't the first time, prolly not the last...) I had room to raise the top edge of the door skin 1/8-1/4-ish and that brought the pinch flange on the bottom of the door skin up where it can just be pinched onto the C5, FG door structure...

    Slant six c body

Find a 65 big block car to compare that to. With that mount in front of the steering box, that’s all it can be. Travis..
