The "1 of 1" car show guy.

We had a nice first annual car show this weekend in my community. We were basically at capacity for the space of around 170 cars. I love how there is always that guy showing his car which was ordered from the factory, and it's claim of 1 or 1. This one caught my attention because of the...

    70s Dodge van inspired boat

1970s Dodge Van Turned Boat Could Storm the Beaches of Margaritaville I found this article interesting. I find it rather scary that a fireplace was an option on this boat. It is pictured inside on one of the photos and appears open flame wood burning fireplace. What could possibly go wrong there?

    Reinforcement ideas?

Totally different hobby but you guys have an incredible collective mind to restore and improve parts, because we can't just go out and buy many items for our c-bodies. Here is what I got. The is a design flaw in the upper area of my big jukebox door. I damaged mine and was able to buy a donor...

I am watching the Stanley Cup and there in a Captial One commercial was a convertible 300 parked at a drive-in theater. :)

Capehart 40s multiple play record player.

I see the coolest things being worked on in the jukebox service store. This is a 40s record player which can play both sides of up to 12 stacked records. It had 2 speeds and 2 tone arms to play both 78 and 33 speed records. This is a working version of a similar Capehart.

Anyone mess around with chrome vinyl wrap?

I going to try this out on one of my jukeboxes not Goldie. I am looking for a cheap alternative. If I actually got all the chrome done on any of the jukeboxes, I would have double what it is worth, just in the chrome plating. I have reading different sources and one thing they all agree on, if...

Get your stinking sandals off the dash!

Let play a game of name this car. I don't actually know but I am certain someone here knows the answer. I still get the Wall Street Journal and monthly there is a style magazine included with the weekend paper. They do like to use classic cars in their shoots. They used a 1966 300 a couple...

    What's in the bag?

I had surprise today. My wife found these in a bag with my name on it, on a shelf on the garage today while clean. Can anyone identify them? I blanked out the part number so you can't cheat. I will admit I had to look it up to figure it out.

    Bring back our Drive-in movies!

Unfortunately most of our drive-ins are long gone. There are actually 3 near me but all are about 40-50 minutes away. The one I went to the most is still there but being used by a church currently and only 20 miles away. The cynic in me says they will never release the big block busters this...

    Made my own 45 record

Many know I have made taillight lenses for Goldie my '66 300. A few know I started messing with jukeboxes this winter, so a natural progression in my mind is to replicate a 45. I managed to reproduce a working double sided stereo record. It plays and sounds just as good as the original.

    Any accordian players here?

I don't know why but I have always wanted accordian. One popped up near me and I planned to go see. I have never played one so I called a cousin who has one, in Virginia and he gave me some advice. Then I decided to call a guy that repairs different instruments and found out he has repaired...

    Anyone here own a Jukebox?

This group seems to have a wide variety of interests. Does anyone here own an older record Jukebox? I have always been kind of fascinated by them and nearly all the restaurants of my youth had one. I have come across one that I am very interested in, a Seeburg made in 1967. They seems to be...

    Smoking electric mixer motor

I have my grandmother's cool old Hamiton Beach chrome mixer. Since you guys know everything, I presume the motor is toast. I shut it off immediately when it smoked and never used it again, probably 5 years ago. Now I am wondering is there anyway to rebuild it or does it need a new motor...

    Cool feathered visitor.

I live at a lake community in central Ohio, but my home is off the water. I have several big trees on my property and while sitting on my deck enjoying a nice evening, I thought I saw a hawk land in our big oak. We have several redtail hawks and they are some what common visitors. Upon...

1965 Fury III spotted Columbus, OH

I was going to lunch and saw a white 4 door Fury III, at North Star and Lane, in Columbus, OH. Anyone here? I haven't seen it before including the Nats. Appeared to be in very good condition.

    Anyone one here watch F1?

I feel like I am the only one. I have been watching for years but in the present turbo generation it has not been very competitive and this season has not been the best to watch. Today, however, was a different sorry. If you missed the race and just a casual watcher, today is worth a viewing...

What a way to end a great day.

I have been in the Tacoma Seattle area for almost a week. Weather has been beautiful but visibility not perfect. Tonight as I came back from dinner, Mount Rainier was clearly visible from the 17th floor of my hotel room. I don't know about those of you who get to see such a similar sight on a...
