    Front brake hose too short

    I purchased two front brake hose for my Polara, they're about 1" too short. The guy at NAPA says they should be the right ones. Anybody else run into this problem?

    Spindle id.

    Anybody know the casting numbers for a 73 spindle? I'm still trying to identify what I have. Casting number on one looks like 3402675, the other is unreadable.

    What is the difference between a 1973 C body spindle verses a 1973 Imperial spindle?

    Changing disk brake spindle

    I have a 72 Polara with disk brakes, I found a set of the larger 1973 spindles, can I just swap out the spindle or do I need to change the caliper mounting hardware as well?

    Rim tire combo.

    I'm thinking of running a 15x8 steel rim with 4.5" back space, not sure what size tire would work best, 235/60/15 or 235/70/15? Car is a 1972 Polara sedan. Would a 245 be too big? I want to run the same size front and rear.

    Tires: How old is too old?

    As you know if your looking for tires for a C body there aren't a lot of choices. I spoke to a local tire shop that has a set of 255/60/15, they've been sitting around awhile. Said he will check the brand and the date code and get back to me with a price.

    I'm thinking of going with 15x8 steel rims for my 72 Polara, the most popular tire size seems to be 275/60/15. Anybody running this combination care to share your thoughts?

    8 3/4 with unusual mark on side.

    Found this number (3Y15) stamped on the side of differential housing, has anybody seen this before or know what it means?
