    So my aftermarket valve covers are evidently thicker than my stock ones requiring longer bolts than the stock bolts. Anyone know off hand the size and thread size? of the stock valve cover bolts so I can order some black shiny ARP bolts a little longer?

    Mobile One Synthetic or Something Else?

    So tomorrow we begin the process of rebuilding the 66 440. Going back 40 over, all else stock with a very mild cam. I know you folks have probably beat this subject to death but I'm wondering if using the Mobile One Synthetic is a bad idea from jump on a freshly rebuilt big block?

    Mystery Nipple?

    Does anyone have a 66 era 440 intake diagram with parts callout or vacuum diagram? The small branch of this gizmo is broken and I'm gonna need a replacement. This particular nipple goes on the far rear edge of the intake.

    I need to clean this off a bit better but it looks like I'm seeing this number. 2406518 and My mopar says this. 426 Max Wedge 1964 2.08 1.88 The motor is a 66 New Yorker 440 TNT. Does this sound right?

    So these were available; 3.55:1; 3.23:1; 2.94:1; and 2.93:1 Can someone explain the difference from one end to the other for us gear illiterate folks? Do these 4 choices really make that much of a difference?

    Can anyone here make a recommendation on who would be the best for remanufacturing my Carter carb? I know there's a bunch of outfits out there who dip and rebuild but I'd feel better going with someone with a good track record. My carb hasn't smelled gasoline since 1979...….
