1966 Sport Fury

This is my 66 Sport Fury.

General Information

Motor: The stock 383 2bbl has had all carbon removed, heads shaved, block zero decked (10-10.5:1 compression), new valves, seats, seals. Cam is Comp Cams XE284H, intake is Weiand Team G single plane, carb is a Holley 4150 650HP with mechanical secondaries that has been CNC'd and choke horn milled out to 750cfm, and it has 1 5/8 inch, 75 dollar e body headers from mopar nationals that magically fit and work well.
Trans: Rebuilt by a local trans shop and then I put a b&m shift kit into it. Also has 2500 stall converter.
Rear: 8 3/4 with a 3.23 posi
Brakes: 12.2" Wilwood 4 piston discs all around and dual bowl high volume MC
Suspension: tubular upper control arms with poly bushings and more camber and caster than stock, reinforced lower control arms with new bushings, 1.18" race torsion bars, bilstein heavy duty shocks front and rear, 1 1/4" front sway bar and 1" rear sway bar, and rebuilt power steering box for 3 turns lock-to-lock and tight feel.

nice bad *** fury. did you replace the 1.50 exhaust valves with the 1.75 68 and up exh. valves. makes the exh. breath alot better. you mean ebody headers fit and don't set to low to drag. my 66 sets low and would drag, i think with headers. does yours tuck up real nice even with the torsion bars. i've had to shave my manifolds twice cause of the center warping from heat. l used a late mod 400 cid. intake for a termoquad carb, i get more grief from my carb selection but in the hands of a good carb guy can't be beat. 20mpg 100 mph all day long with no problems
