1973 New Yorker Brougham 2dr

This is my 1973 New Yorker Brougham family project. Looking to make a reliable driver and weekend cruiser and having fun with the whole family.

General Information

This our project purchased from Craigslist for $2500. Remarkably, this tank made a 60 mile trip home under its own power. Off to a good start.

Put in a new set of plugs, wires, and cap. Timing was way too retarded. We have that corrected. Finally tackled the Carter AVS carb. Were sporting an earlier year intake and carb. No Thermoquad here.

Now the squad is ready to cruise.

Did the brakes and replaced a busted wheel stud. Good excuse to play dress up with a friends set of 22s.

Comments

I had a light green 73 NY 4-dr HT. Rear mounts of front subframe were eaten up with rust, so back of subframe was loose. Rear quarters were even worse. It was triple green. Loved the nylon brocade seats I sold it almost 20 years ago. Hated parting with it. That car was a good friend. Had sunk a bunch of money into a 69 Monaco, and just didn't have the money to do what needed to be done for that 73 NY.
