This Fury first popped up on the radar screen in the late 70s, when she arrived to Moscow. For a number of years she served in the US embassy.
In the 80s she was sold in the local market. I found this car in 1996 and she was in a rather pathetic state. It took a lot of time and effort to make her a runner again. We've been together for 20 years.

P.S.: 400 cid

Man that's s cool story!! If she could talk, imagine the Kremlin stories she could tell.. thanks for saving this piece of history.

Wow, what a transformation! A bit of a surprise that an embassy car would be two door, who ever used it didn't have a driver.

It didn't have to be government property. A US diplomat could've brought it for his personal use.
I have another picture of her with embassy plates. No mistake there.

Excellent job on the restoration. I've always liked the mini moons but I liked the original wheel covers from the first picture better.

I agree. A few days ago I bought a NOS set of factory covers and now I'm shopping for OEM rims.

Nice job on the car. It's a rather unique color combo. I had a 74 2 door Fury III in B-5 blue with a white vinyl top and blue cloth interior. Nice running 360 2bbl with AC.
