1975 Chrysler New Yorker Carpet Replacement

First time I ever attempted something like this, easy job but time consuming.

General Information

When I got my '75 New Yorker a few years ago it had a water leak for years on the passenger side front floor from a leaking windshield seal. After I fixed the leak it was time to do the carpet since it was badly damaged from years of leaking. Thankfully the floor did not rot but did have a little rust which I took care of. Bought the carpet on ebay pre-cut. You of course have to do some trimming. Goofed on a couple alterations but patched it up ok. Still has some bumps in it so may try a hair drier to smooth it out?? Seat bolts are on the bottom but this car was from PA, never driven in winter so they all came right off like they were put on yesterday except for one which snapped but was easily replaced. Lots of wires under there for the seat belt sensors in the seats!

Nice work.. I too own a 75 NYB that needs a carpet job.. Seeing your post and pic is inspiring. I have the carpet already, just need to get into it. Again.. Nice job.

I have done others cars in the past in which the seat bolts were inside, not under like the C body. Those will be your biggest issue but if you snap them, no worries just replace the studs & get some locking washers. Good luck! BTW I got the carpet on ebay for around $225.
