Calgary Mike's Dad's Ny Brougham

Purchased in April 1974 by my mother and father, never winter driven, and garaged for the last 20+ years of its life. Only new car my parents ever owned. 54,000 original miles on it, interior is like new - because my mom knit seat covers for it!

I know they take some grief on this forum but I love the 73 NYB's. Missed my chance many years ago and have always regretted it.

Ontario plates because that's where I grew up. In Alberta, you don't need two plates, just the rear has to be legit. And unfortunately I won't be driving it to the homeland!

Huh! I never pass judgement on vintage cars that are kept running and on the road...we're preserving history, whether it is beautiful or 'Edsel-horse-collar-ugly'...

You bet - I think of my old man every time I drive it. My intention is to keep it at least until my daughter gets a chance to drive it, and she won't be eligible for a license for another few years.

I just got a '73 too. I know of the stigma. Mine is silver -- I never thought that I'd buy one, but then... I saw this one with its excellent JA5 paint and black interior and I had to save/have it.Enjoy yours!
