Boosted Wagon

I live in the UK and bought this wagon from Covington, GA and imported it myself. It's bigger and louder than just about anything else in my area so gets a few waves and thumbs up when I'm out!

General Information

This is my '68 Plymouth Custom Suburban with lovely sun faded patina and a TorqStorm supercharger just for fun!! I imported this car myself from Georgia in October 2016 and I have made some further changes and upgrades on what was already a really nice car.

I have the original paperwork from the dealer, (DeKalb Chrysler Plymouth in Atlanta) the dealer order form, the dealer invoice, the build sheet and the owners and operators manuals.

A lot of time and money was spent building this car in the US. I have also spent some time getting everything working on the dash including a solid state 5V regulator conversion and converting the ammeter to volts. All original gauges work along with the auxiliary gauges. The wiring has been checked and upgraded under the hood. All exterior lights are high quality LED.

I fitted a front power brake disc kit from The Ram Man. This kit uses all factory Chrysler parts based on 69-73 disc spindles, massive 11.75" vented rotors, sliding pin calipers, 8" dual diaphragm booster, dual master cylinder and new proportioning valve.

The body is totally solid and has been sprayed in a matt clear coat to preserve the patina of the car. It has some nice custom pin striping and the "Betty Boost" graphic was airbrushed on the rear quarters to highlight the boost from the supercharger.

The engine is a .030 over 440 (446 cu in) with a 2800 stall 727 column shifted transmission. The heads and short block were professionally built by Nalley's race engines in Georgia. Other parts include a Comp Cams hydraulic roller cam kit and timing gear, Manley pushrods, Edelbrock aluminium heads and intake, 750 Mighty Demon blow through carb, TTI ceramic coated 1 7/8" headers and 3" stainless Pypes exhaust with H pipe, twin Magnaflow stainless mufflers, full MSD ignition (Pro billet distributor, 8.8mm MSD wires, MSD coil, and BTM-6 boost referenced retard ignition box), billet TorqStorm centrifugal supercharger, high flow water pump housing and pump.

The rear axle was rebuilt with 3.23 gears, posi diff and Ukon axles.

The car has been lowered slightly with a couple of turns on the torsion bars and lowering blocks on the rear. It has Ridler 17 x 9 wheels and Nitto 275-45-17 tyres. All the windows are tinted, all the seats were re-padded and re-upholstered, all new carpet was installed and heat/sound insulation added. It has an Alpine sound system with speakers in all four doors, a pair of tweeters and an amp in the back under the third seat.

I've always loved wagons. drove a couple for many years. Yours is a beast, that I would love to own! Well done and enjoy.

Cool wagon. Love the color, outside and in. I'm a sucker for blue. Sounds like you did a lot of work. I mean a lot. I don't think that's the original motor. Ha ha. I like the fact you kept it original but made it the way you like it. I'm assuming it was born a slant 6 or 318. My step-dad has a 67 Fury II wagon. It's "plain Jane" with a 318 and single exhaust for now, he is in the process of converting it to a Fury III. He hopes to put a 440 in it too. Best of luck with yours. Tear up the road.:steering:

Still have it?, what your thougts after a few years with Tq-storm? Btw is it the 3.25 pulley?
