Late last summer. It's too dirty to photograph now, and the trunk is leaking around the taillight gaskets... I have some work to do! The car came with a white vinyl top that was already ragged when I got it, so I stripped it and did body work on the roof. It's pretty decent.

050420: Notice the mighty 318. Comp Cams Xtreme Energy 218/224 Hydraulic Roller. Edelbrock Performer RPM heads (this version is no longer made), ATI fluidamper. Some nice 200 amp alternator that looked pretty. I've got Sanderson headers to install. Fuel is from an Edelbrock ProFlo2. I've got the wideband O2 upgrade to pin out and install, then recalibrate. Transmission is a Keisler Tremec TKO-500 with the B-body specific components, using the original 727 tranny mount (modified) and correct C-body pedals, modified for the power disc brakes from a 74 Town and Country. I want to do the correct Budd 4 piston calipers someday. I've got one loaded caliper sitting in a cabinet in the garage. Rear is an 8.75" 742 with the later Auburn Sure-grip and 3.23 gears.

050420: Custom interior done in 2000, because the original was partially dissolved by over two decades of dog slobber. The door speakers were incredibly difficult to install, as mounting boxes had to be fabricated in place to clear the window crank mechanism. I have a fully restored factory power window setup I need to install, as well as 90% of the factory air system from a 68 Monaco 500 4 door sedan that was sadly turned into a demo car. It won. I've also got a heavily modified rear defrost unit that almost fits and a three speed wiper motor and switch to install. I'm looking for power door locks and the tilt-telescoping steering column.

Nice color, and while I'm not usually a fan of aftermarket wheels, these look nice, they seem to work better on fastop cars, especially Chryslers, and I like that the "stance" is basically stock. Custom seat fabric is tasteful, and I bet comfy on a hot day. Nice ride!

I lOVE Polaras. Thats's a great looking ride. Tasteful upgrades that Aren't "In your face" as others I've seen. Great versions of an OE Rally Wheel also. Very nice.

Thanks to all for the kind feedback. I just had the exhaust modified and ceramic coated DD7 Sanderson headers installed. They fit great and got rid of an annoying exhaust ticking sound from the right manifold.
I would have loved to keep this car stock, but when I got it, it was something of a basket case, and I was a stupid teenager. The interior was done by a charming older gent named Maynard for $1000, including the headliner, which used to fit perfectly, but now has some waviness. I was driving at highly extralegal speeds with the windows down, and the partial vacuum that ensued sucked the headliner down around my eyes! Pretty scary. The tranny is a Keisler modded Tremec TKO-500. I wish it had come with the 4 speed, but that wasn't available on a smallblock C body in 67. My dad and I did most of the bodywork, which is better on this side than the passenger's, since a 3/4 ton 1971 Ford kind of wiped it out. It has some waviness in the rear quarter panel. Even though we had to dig the car out of the mud to bring it home, it had very little rust. I have a set of buckets that I was going to reupholster, but I've become a fan of the bench. Most of the parts I have yet to install come from Wildcat Auto Wrecking, around Portland, Oregon. Those folks are awesome!
It amazes me just how well this thing handles. It was great to begin with, flat cornering and a smooth ride, but since upgrading the torsion bars, anti sway bars, and shocks with parts and advice from Firm Feel, it is absolutely phenomenal. I have to jam myself against the steering wheel to keep from sliding around when I take some curves! I still miss my 71 Sassy Grass Green Scamp, but this is a better driver. I should have more photos shortly. Again, thank you for your comments!

I now need to clean up the engine bay. I have some wires that no longer go anywhere, and it's just a mess! Anyway, partial views of the headers have been added.
