This Old Barn

Built into a mountainside, deep in the heart of Appalachia.., the description remains Classified: TOP SECRET (or.., I'm not proud of it, yet)

General Information

Well, the '68 Fury III Four Door Hardtop was my original passion, which then morphed into: How many of the '68 Fury Models can I acquire? Shown are my 4DHT models (I'm a little heavy on these), my 2DHT, my Sport Fury and my Convertible. Also shown are my '70 Sport Fury 4DHT and my '72 Road Runner clone (440 six pack). I really think I am done with my "collecting", even though I lack the Suburban Wagon and all the Sedan models. After all, I'm just one guy!
A concerned friend asked me, "What's WRONG with you?!" I explained myself this way; "It's like a Salmon that has to return home... you're just not happy 'till you get there. Other than that, there's just no explaining this affliction that happens to some of us."
Thanks for looking at my photos and good luck on your mission The line up is out of order (PS- Update; 5/7/2021; I have managed to squeeze a few more cars into the barn. A '68 Fury 4DR Sedan, a '69 Fury 4DR Sedan, and a rough '68 Suburban)

I guess I need to fess up and include my project cars as well. Sorry about that Ford.., it's always sneaking around, getting into places it shouldn't.

My automobile bucket list was formed early on in my childhood (ca. 1971). First a '68 Fury, Then a '71 Roadrunner, and Lastly, a '71 Sport Fury.

Sometime around last Christmas (2022) I was out surfing the net, not looking at anything in particular and stumbled onto an ad for a '71 Sport Furry, listed by a small Car Lot. My first thought was "Glory Be, there she is!" My second thought was that this is too good to be true. This must be a really old ad, and this car is long gone. But, I allowed myself to investigate and found that the listing was indeed still active. I guessed that the misspelling of Fury may have allowed this ad to slip through all of the web filters and strainers out there and that explained why it never showed up on our site (here), nor did it ever show up in my own personal and specific efforts of hunting a '71 Sport Fury. It was just dumb luck that I found it.
I made this car mine in January of 2023, and promptly named her Glory Bee. Now, after 52 years of longing, I can die happy! Thanks for looking! -Not Right

Wow, Wow, Wow! Certainly a man on a mission.

I can only think of one way to make that Fury collection cooler. Find a period correct car hauler, and arrive at the show like you're delivering a fresh batch of '68 Furys. The typical car hauler of the period usually held six full-size cars.

Beautiful cars!
You're only missing a VIP to complete the set. We had a new loaded 68 VIP the same colors as the Sport Fury 2dr.

NICE collection sir! I like em all but particularly the Fury III Turquoise hardtop and Sport Fury blue fast-top. Weren't you selling that blue Fast-top?

Dear SportFury70, I'm so sorry for this late response. Been wrapped up in life for a while. In answer to your question, no, I was not trying to sell My Fasttop.., however I was helping another fellow try to sell his. Both cars were/are Lt Blue Met with Black Vinyl Tops. He reportedly finally got it sold to a guy in Alaska!
