Wow, that I a beautiful car, I can't believe that the hood ornament still has the red in it, that is awesome. I think I saw your car on a RockAuto magnet once but I am not sure.

Funny how much they resembled Lincolns of the period.

Does this beautiful car sport the original paint? Must have been garaged most all its life.

A base coat clear coat repaint in the original color was done about 20 years ago and the car has always been garaged during our family ownership. The last photo was taken this last autumn

Yes it was on the Rockauto magnet. This 76 has been in the family in a warm garage for the last 4 decades

The three new photos added were taken a few years back when every Wednesday afternoon one could enjoy
all the automotive eye candy at Bear Mt. in Harriman State Park NY.
Last year was a dud, hoping this summer we will return to the fun.

THis NYB has the wheels I have been trying to find for my Diplomat wagon for so many years I gave up. Should you (or anyone else) come across a spare set, PLEASE let me know. They look BEAUTIFUL on this car though.

Wish you had a picture of the engine bay.
What options does it have?
Here's the 440 waiting for salt free roads. The St. Regis package had all the power features one could imagine, but this one did lack a power front passenger seat, which I finally got. Also the original radio, an 8 track unit was replaced with a CD- cassette Chrysler radio from ?, but was a factory fit plug and play, no mods.
The photos of the dash and tail light show that the silver accents, which usually wore off with little use, were removed, for a cleaner look.

What options does it have?
A universal rear sway bar was installed and poly bushings were used on the front sway bar, making the land yacht corner nearly flat, The WW tires don't like it!
Also installed air shocks in the back and lowered the front torsion bars to get a good stance.

Would you like to buy the whole car for the wheels?
Just kidding
In all the time I've set my eyes on Mopar cars, these wheels I've not seen since I got mine. Will keep a look out.

One thing that was cheap on these was the cardboard liner at the back of the trunk. After finding an original spare tire cover I modified it to fit over the cardboard for a better look

I look EVERY year (since I got the Dip in 2003) at Carlisle, and NEVER see them. I went with road wheels, which look nice, also. MANY THANKS

Send a picture, I'm curious to see

Amazing car with an amazing engine compartment. Didn't know New Yorkers were ever this fancy. An Imperial was not so much of a step up from this.

Yes. the 76 NY'er was virtually the same as the 75 Imperial.
Imperial sales lagged so Chrysler dropped the name, changed it to NY'er and sold way more.

Thanks,
I don't drive her much and don't do long trips ,trying to keep her as pristine as possible.
A standard plumbing air gauge in the trunk tells how many Ibs are in the rear air shocks at a glance.
I added a close up picture
