Hi all. I picked this Monaco up last year after it was dragged out of a junkyard. It now runs, stops and shifts and I’ve started to move on to the rusty. Good grief there’s plenty of it so I thought I might post progress pics here. Bear in mind this is not a restoration this is a barely-pass-inspection job that will hopefully see this thing back on the road and turning heads. We’re going to protect it as best we can but that doesn’t include new paint or professional body work. Speaking of which this was all done with zero experience and a Harbour Freight flux core welder so don’t be too upset

You are a braver man than I, but its nice to see somebody put it back on the road as a driver.

Monaco: now with added MGB

First attempt at fabricating a body panel. I’m reasonably happy with how it came out although I went a bit nuts with the grinder and may have thinned the metal too much in places. Now on to the other side!

Opposite side done along with the trunk pan and extensions! This one bulges out a little so I’m going to try to shape it. My flux core welding is also slowly getting better

I can hardly believe it but it appears I’ve run out of things to weld on the back end of this thing! I tried to keep the seam sealer to factory standards
