Details on price.
I will take $1000 USD from a FBCO contributor.
However, having been around car guys I know they may have assets tied up in parts that would potentially require them to list something. then sell then buy my car!
Well as it turns out I am also a car guy and we may be able to come to an agreed price in private message per site policy.
I have decided to sell this car to fund parts for one of my other C bodies or I would keep this car. But I need to find interior parts for my 72 and 73 fury and my 69 300 and 65 newport. Maybe I'll be able to use the money to buy a big block for my Newport or pay someone to build my 383 since I just can't get the time. If you are in another country we may have to use an exchange but I'm not picky about currency. I really don't want 40000 Turkish Lira but maybe it works. If I can't find parts to buy with the money I might just get some more tech stocks.
Enough about what the money is for. The car.
The car is from Texas originally and I have some details to include about that. It has been in PNW since 86. I spoke with the grandson of the original owner and he gave me what he knew. I did offer the car to him free of charge as he had wanted it when his grandfather passed. He decided not to pursue after a heart felt deliberation. He has enough projects to get through the rest of the ride.
The car is super straight with beautiful glass. Has had a scuff and shoot respray in near original color. Trim is outstanding. Interior is rough and lower rear seat is missing. The 413 is seized and the intake is gone. I tossed some valve covers on it but they were also missing. Im guessing all that was robbed while not in use and led to motor lock up.
There is a small amount of rust showing on passenger rear quarter protruding from under trim. Im not going to post a ton of pics but pm me for requests and I'll post specifically.
This car is not for sale to derby guys please. Im sure a guy could part it fir the price and derby the rest but I just don't support that. You will either have to be a liar or buy it from the next guy.
Just remembered rear doors are stuck, folks on the site advised to pull the door panels to get open
I don't have a state issued title but can provide a bill of sale from me.
I think the car was last registered in Washington which may be an advantage to a WA. guy with their bonded title process.
I can't guarantee this though. I found one loose plate in the car and the family member that gave me the history said the uncle that inherited it lived in WA. In the 80's but is probably a long time deceased..
That's what I know about this car. It was getting scrapped and I intervened in that process to pass it on, but decided to keep it until reality struck. I just need less cars right now. It is probably better as parts considering these cars can be had in pretty nice shape for 7.5k. I was going to clean up the interior. Swap a used motor in and run it
