All original 13,000 mile ARIZONA car. Drives and handles as you would expect for a car with these original miles. A/C blows cold with the original R-12 freon still in it. More details available if you are seriously interested. Might consider partial trade on various items.. ??

Found this on Offer Up. If I needed a driver I'd consider this.

Nice! I didn't care for them when they were new but they are certainly an important part of Chrysler's history.

What a time capsule. Last year for the K-car. They were some good, basic transportation back in the day. Not too bad to work on either. I've had a few over the years. My son currently drives an '87 LeBaron GTS. So yeah, I'm a fan.

I owned one....a 4 door. At the time I was 6' and about 260lbs. and it seems I had just as much room as my '03 Chrysler LXI!

89 2 door K's are rare. The Dodge Shadow waa outselling the K by then yet both shared many underpinnings and powertrains.
Chris I will wire you the cash and can you hold it for me till the border opens?? Lol!! Jk

Hey guys I had a brain fart and forgot to put NOT MINE on the post. Please forgive me but we've had a couple of 118 degree days here this week and my brain is fried. It was a post found on Offer Up. It's not mine!

Guys, I did some investigating and found this. Look at how dirty that engine bay is along with the "patina" on the trunk lid that clearly has now been refinished. I am thinking this car has 113,000 miles rather then 13,000. Someone only paid $245 for it back in 2018 and the winning bidder was from AZ. (see the item details)

Nice, don't see allot of two doors. Last year of the original K car, pretty much a perfected platform by that point. Looks like it has the 2.5.

Good detective work there kingbowl. I notice the odometer reads the same now as in the auction. It would've had to go up some if it worked. If it doesn't work who knows how many miles it has.

Thanks. Nice catch noticing the odometer shows the same as it did back then.

So how did you come across that auction?

When I investigate any car that I am interested but dont want to initially pay for a Car Fax, I always Google the VIN # to see if any thing pops up online first. I noticed in many cases if a car was auctioned at big time online auction house, the sale history usually remains and is revealed when Googling the VIN. Since the car in question is an 89 and has a 17 digit VIN I assume if a Carfax was ran it may also show the car was auctioned and or when/where the odometer stopped if miles were logged at registrations or services.

Here's his answer: I've put maybe 10 miles on since, and that was just 2 weeks ago. I let it sit since buying it until I had time to replace the needed parts to make it roadworthy again.

His next response: I'll be in the Valley tomorrow morning. I'll take it for another drive to be absolutely sure it works correctly. The pics were taken before I drove it anywhere. There's quite a backstory on this car.....way too much to type here..

Ah interesting. Regardless, if anyone is seriously interested in this car I would advise a Car Fax be ran. I still have my suspicions that the 13k is 113k.

Seriously? Why??

Because I'm literally driving right by where the car is. I am retired and have plenty of time to kill and who knows what else you might find when you go look at something. Hell it's not like I can go to the movies or go bowling or even binge drinking in a bar. So I say "Why not" :soapbox:
