1954 Hudson Super Jet. 202 ci Six, 3-spd manual column shift. Heater, radio. Lots of new on this! Titled in my name. Solid car, little rust. It IS 66 years old, after all!

I'll add details and more oics later today. Asking $2,500 cash money, or cool trade on a Mopar, or AMC Gremlin or Pacer. Garage-kept in OKC, OK.

It does. Mostly looks like a '52-'54 Ford, and that was intentional. Problem was, it came out looking like an ungainly 7/8-scale car. The cars were top quality, but priced at the level of a well-equipped Chevy or Plymouth. Hence the two-year production run.

I've considered that route with it. I've got a '72 440 block and a '73 400 block I could build. I've even thought about building it as a car for Bonneville; as running there has always been a dream of mine since I was a little kid, but I'm really looking to sell, if possible.

Wasn't it the Jet which destroyed Hudson's finances leading to AMC?

Pretty much. They sank the 1952 equivalent of $800M into it. That, and they had no V8 lined up to take over for the 308 and 262 flathead Sixes. They were really damn nice cars built evey bit as solid as the Hornet and Wasp, maybe too good.

It is an amazing piece of automotive history. If I were in the market this is what it would end up looking like.

There is a red and cream Jet in the DFW area that is a spectaular car. One-family owned from new. Seen two pics of it. Truly gorgeous!

This car is the perfect choice to slide in that LS sub-frame (stub-frame?) assembly posted here several days ago.

Hellcat powered, in Bonneville trimmings would be a cool machine.

I always liked the two door sedans in Standard trim, also the more popular Rambler models of this Price class and the almost forgotten Aero Willys that got a new lease on life in South America that lasted at least into the late 60s with a tasteful redesign by Brooks Stevens.

So, none of you have a Pacer or Gremlin stashed away for trade??? Or an old Dart?

I look every day for that oddball stuff. Unfortunately, they are all owned by oddball sellers.

I've got a trunk-full of trim bits, along with a pair of NOS taillight and parking light lenses, too.

If I can fix my points and set them right, I'll get a start-up video posted. I've had it running for about a second with fresh fuel.
