Good morning everyone,
I recently acquired a replacement 326 engine for my 1959 Dodge Coronet (the original was locked up on 2 cylinders). One thing I noticed on the replacement passenger side cylinder head is that the 4 intake valve pushrods will not come out of the head (they move around freely but the heads where they meet the rocker arms just does not fit through the hole in the head). The exhaust pushrods came out of the passenger side head and both exhaust and intake pushrods came out of the driver side head. On my original engine all 16 pushrods came out without an issue. I've inspected the 4 intake pushrods that will not come out and they look completely normal. Does not look like they were pounded or flattened out or anything. I just found this weird and wanted to ask if anyone had heard of anything like this? I'm assuming they were put on before the rocker arm shaft was added...but just wondering why only on one head and one set of pushrods.
Thanks for any help or guidance.
