On page 10 of the 1963 Imperial Owner’s manual it says you can turn the headlight knob to adjust the intensity of the instrument panel light, but it says nothing about turning it all the way to the left to turn on the dome, courtesy, and/or map lights. The manual is silent regarding turning it all the way to the left, to feel the click. In the next sentence it says you can turn on the dome light with the switch located just above the roof rail located on the driver’s left. The map and courtesy lights work when either front door is opened on both of my 1963 Imperials. However, when I turn the light switch all the way to the left to feel the click, nothing goes on in either car. I have been told that the map and courtesy lights should light. Can owners with a 1963 Imperial let me know what lights come on when you turn the headlight knob all the way to the left, click area?
Thanks!
