One of the 300 Club, Intl members posted this ad for a 300 Ram K. It is offered by a dealer in Fort Worth, TX., but the car appears to be in Oakland / SF Bay area. There is supposed to be a Craigslist ad for the car, but I can't find it.

I hate the color, the wheels and the high school hood treatment, but all that can be fixed. The car appears to be a helluva deal.

It would be something to see if whoever owns it brings it to Carlisle...

A helluva deal for who? The seller? What a POS. Yeah, it could be fixed, almost anything can be if you throw enough money and time at it. But the '64's (IMHO) are about the least desireable of the entire 300 series. Just plain BUTT UGLY!

Fire Power 390 CID engine? :bs_flag:

Thanks Stan, I kinda figured he might have meant HP rating, but still CID isn't right and that's what he said. Also, didn't know they still used the "Firepower" name yet in '64.

Otherwise, I still think they are BUTT UGLY! As you so often say, Carry On!

Stan, In the bi-laws of the 300 Club int.inc. it states to restore and preserve the 300 letter cars. This clown would be laughed out of a 300 meet if he ever showed up with this on in this condition. Lots of 'um even line up there Phillips Headz(I've seen 'um) I built the Batwagon just to get the jawz tight on the one we called King George and it worked, lol

Rip...... yeah I know, sorry for being so harsh. Just mostly pissed at the morons who do this stuff to the cars in the first place. Exactly what you said, the hood, the paint, and the wheels. Guess I'm just too much of a purist, totally my fault. I'll just shut up and go away now, its gonna happen sooner or later anyway.

Like you, I hate some of the car's attributes. However, somebody put a bunch of money in that car (four wheel disc brakes, modern A/C conversion. GV overdrive and the 440 engine with the ram induction installed 0- just to name a few of the upgrades). Despite the hideous paint color, it looks like the paint was properly applied too. I'm not sure if that paint color is the original color, but if it is, the rest of the car's flaws could be dealt with rather easily - more or less. The original engine also goes with the car. All of that is why I think the car could be a helluva deal. . . Of course, if the paint color is not original, that would knock about 6 to 8 grand off the asking price.

I can laugh at the asking price, ridiculous 'raisin bran' hood, and over-stated value as-is... but I don't begrudge previous owners for a) modifying the car to suit their wants, and b) keeping it out of the scrap crusher. It may be a clown car, but at least its still a car!

Guy has been trying to sell this thing for months, been on eBay multiple times. The J's and K's have been growing on me a little but mostly because of the engine. Just bought a black ram K in California.

Sorry haven't checked back on this post in a while. Here is a not very good picture of it. Somebody put a 4 bbl motor in it but I got all the ram stuff with the car.
