I'm starting the official '64-'65-'66 Imperial Convertible Registry. Of the three years total, 2,069 convertibles were built.

1966 - 514
1965 - 633
1964 - 922

I'm looking for fender tag pics and VINs as part of the research, along with a description of the car and list of known options on each known car.

This list will be kept confidential, and will be accessible only to the people who provide info to the Registry.

Back in the late '80s, I established tbe 1969 Dart Registry, on the quest to establish the existence of the then-believed 435 (later proven 635) 440 Dart GTS cars built, and the lesser-number of '69 440 'Cudas. Back in the pre-interwebz, too! That list continues as the Dart GTS Registry online.

Any help you guys can provide would be huge! Please send me a PM here and we'll talk about what I'm looking for. Thanks!

I’ll contribute the info on my ‘64 gladly, thanks Patrick!
I’m not even opposed to putting all the info right here in public but however you want to do it is fine by me.

The decode was curticy of @marko and @CEJ7034
yep you have an M code charcoal gray with M9R red leather
the other option codes might be difficult to exactly say right now, there are some of us 64 imp owners trying to come up with a complete list of imperial option codes.
i can see you have the optional passenger side mirror
for some reason the imp option codes show up as 2 digit alpha numeric ones on the imp body tags.
the # 41 on the tag is an inspector's stamp.
A 5= Torqueflight Transmission
B 2= Power Brakes
D 4= Power windows
F 7 = ?
G 9= ?
H 5= am/fm radio
K 5= ?, heater of some kind, dont have codes
L 6= ?
M 7 = ?
N 1=?
Q 1=Tinted Glass All Windows
S 1= Factory New Car Service (?)
T 2= Sold Unit- Expedite (?)
V 4= ?
W 6= ?
Y 6= Power 4 Way Seats

And then.

F7 - (357) Power Door Locks
G9 - (359) Automatic Beam Changer (though it doesn't appear to be there in the picture)
H5 - (365) AM/FM Radio includes rear speaker and power antenna
K5 - (385) Heater w/defrosters
L6 - (396) Black Convertible Top
M7 - (407) Deck Lid Lock Remote Control
W6 - (416) Reverb unit for Radio
From the picture you also have (491) Manual outside right hand mirror. You may also have (350) Auto Pilot and/or (410) Adjustable Steering Wheel. These do not show up on the fender tag.

heres my 64 imp convert.
ivory with black leather
i have no prob posting my car's VIN or lic plate for that matter - in my province the car has an assigned registration # so nobody can get title to it or even find out who its registered to.
it cracks me up all the cars for sale here in bc that the seller covers up the lic plate....
anyway,

Hi. I have a project 66 convertible. White with turquoise interior. Many options. Send me your email and I will send VIN and options. Where would the body tag be located? My car has been in deep storage for 25+ years and is a rust free project.

Bumpage! Haven't forgot about it, just other life things going on, too. Let's see some '64-'65-'66 Imperial convertibles!

Here only a pic of a 66 that was at a closed wrecking yard that was crushing out recently.
When asked about the car the guy in charge said he wanted big $ for it.
Towards the end a derby guy I know walked in and bought it for $500
Said he going to restore it? I will see if can get vin #.

Would you be willing to add '67 & '68 at some point? Pretty low production as well but I'm always surprised by how many you see out there.
Online Imperial Club registry has some information but I don't know how up to date it is.
