I initially bought this car for a couple of reasons, 1-it was a good deal & 2-I didn’t want it to end up in the wrong hands.
I figured if I could get it to the point that it would at least run and possibly even move under its own power that it would be more likely someone would take it from there and restore it to at least a fun driver and then continue to make improvements as it was being enjoyed.
I didn’t get to it right away as the priority at that time was to process the doner car for the Mobile Director which was delivered on the same transport.
The first opportunity I had to start messing with it I removed the carpet out of it as this one is far from water tight and I didn’t want it sitting outside with wet carpet.
I then did what was necessary to get it running and it runs pretty well with great oil pressure. With that good news I went ahead and had the radiator spruced up, put in a new water pump and replaced the belts and cooling system hoses. Next was the fuel system. The tank is as clean as a whistle and after blowing out the lines and replacing any bad hoses it was running off of fuel in the tank. While it was running that first time I checked out things like exterior lighting and interior accessories and the details on that and the other improvements from that time are detailed in the thread attached below.

Unfortunately several years went by after that and I couldn’t find the time to get back to it until recently. It has been outside since it came to me and at this point I’m not doing it any favors so it is definitely time to find someone who can give it the attention it deserves. I just have way too much on my plate.
After sitting since July of ‘21 I put a battery in it, dumped some fuel down the carb and it fired without hesitation and with that same healthy oil pressure. I then put a gallon or so in the tank, filled up the carb and started it again and it stayed running with fuel from the tank.
I then jacked up all four corners to verify that the wheels would spin freely which they do and lastly I put it in gear and the trans responded as it should. I did not move it yet though as it was parked in where it sits by 2 inoperable cars.
That’s where we’re at now. I think for safeties sake I wouldn’t attempt to drive it onto a transport because it probably has no brakes and I didn’t want to test the brakes for fear that once applied they might not release and then it wouldn’t roll.

I am asking $5,000 for it and at that price I will not only include a bunch of new mostly brake system parts that the previous owner bought for it but also anything I have in my personal stash of parts that is better than what it has. This will include a much nicer front bumper and rear upper bumper(the part with the taillights in it), a pretty decent dash pad, nice front kick panels, the nicest set of wheelcovers, nicer set of grilles, the nicest hood ornament, etc..

Please refer to the link in the following post for better descriptions of its overall condition.

I do have it listed on the Marketplace and I have already turned down offers above my asking price from the derby crowd. I will do everything in my power to make sure it doesn’t go to someone who just wants to wreck it.

Here are a few things that are included for the 5K.
More pics to follow and of course I can answer any questions and provide lots more pics, just ask. It still retains its original California black plates.
