New to the forum and have a question. I know that nobody reproduces the 65 fuel tank, at least I have not seen one. Are the width , length , and height dimensions on a 66 the same where you could theoretically cut the rear quarter section of it off and weld on the 65 rear quarter? Front half of my 65 tank is not good. Thoughts?

No idea but welcome to the site from the Motor City!

Welcome!!
That's a lot of work for just a gas tank.
You're far better off getting a new '67 tank and modifying it for the side filler.

That's what I was thinking of doing to a 66 tank Commando1. I've actually seen new 66 tanks. Thanks!

Welcome .......nice car.

Post some pictures when you get a chance.

Try calling them, they might be able to help you.

Thats them, but look, they dont advertise a 65. Yeah, you gotta call just to be sure

Nope. I've seen 66 tanks that have the rear fill tube, but never a 65 with the side (driver's) tube repro'd.

if options get really limited northbay65, I might get in touch with you.
