Raining pretty good here, waters dripping on both sides, on the left, near the emergency brake. Where's the common areas?

Cowl area gets clogged with leaves. If you are lucky, you can clean it out and reseal the area. If not you will need metal replacement. Only way to find out, is to dive in.

It's pretty solid, and I cleaned it out awhile ago, I guess I'll have to take another look

To check for sure, you will need to remove the wiper arms, cowl cover, and wiper linkage to inspect and clean thoroughly. At that point you can look for rust spots.
