image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg I access to this complete super rusty 65 Newport conv. It's at a closed wrecking yard where they are crushing everything. The guy in charge is nice enough to set the car aside while I remove parts. All has to be done fast. Within 5 days of this posting the car will be crushed.
I have removed a few easy conv parts already.
Things of interest are complete conv top.am/fm.PW,red uncracked dash, rear door panels, 383 4v. Good radiator, some good trim.
My time with this car will be VERY limited so act fast. Only easy parts to be will be pulled.
No tire kicking or time wasting please. Beyond my control.

They did - the Budd disc brakes that everyone cusses nowadays for parts non-availability.

image.jpeg I grabbed the fender tag. I'm going there today. I'm afraid it will be gone by weekend.
A shame there are many good conv parts on it. Nice red rear conv panels, complete top, windshield trim, rear seat. I can only grab easy parts to pull with limited time before crushing! No time to waste!

Sorry ,Car was crushed 2 days ago. Too bad becuase car had many good parts still left on it. Beyond my control. Car crushing outfit was double time crushing to get harvest of car bodies in before election. Just in case Biden wins. They wanted to get them in before the steel industry price drop.
I have another one in 300 4dr parts carb, but it is in afar away location. I will see what I can do

I looked into this before in the 1965 factory parts book. Discs were only available on police cars in 1965. In 1966 they did the rollout to the general public. So effectively no, discs were not available in '65.

Of course one can "never say never"... Someone could have looked up the option codes if they had access to them and ordered discs for a non-police vehicle, but your chances of finding such a unicorn are almost zero.
