1965 polara "decade long evolution"

Got this car from the second owner in 03. always loved the 65 monaco and polara so this was my chance. Seeing that meeting my wife was a few years away, i stockpiling cars at my friends yard. i.e. buy one break it after a few months then find another"gem". but this one drove so nicely it was my first choice to cruise or commute. over the years i have rebuilt the rear diff(stock 2.73),15 rally rims, all wheel disc brakes with new master, aluminum rad, HEI dist., 2inch lowering blocks and dropped the whole car. Just got a new set of Shumacher poly engine mounts and am rebuilding the fuel system from rear to front with a new 4bb intake and carb. its a labor of love and few windows of opportunity now with two kids and a wife...hahaha:sSig_thanks:

Good looking car! Been a while since I priced those one year only for c-body drivers side engine mounts, but I bet that side cost a "little" extra. LOL

I forget. Did the 65's have the slip joint or the trunion tranny?

Slip yoke, cable operated.

That's a good looking car. The 65s were the 1st year for true Cbodys and you have a fine example. Be sure to keep us posted.
