1966 dodge polara 500 project

"383 2bbl auto console buckets complete car with clean FL title. Starts off a bottle and has forward gears.. Lost storage and now located in casselberry. No excuses car that needs work but its not the price of a roadrunner either. Front pass fender is dented and I have a replacement that is much better. Dual exhaust pipes are waiting for installation. Worst rust is lower qtr panel and lower sailpanel driver side. Was a factory black vinyl top. Not many of these old C bodies left in one piece, especially the 500 model and this would be a unique ride. Being this is a craigslist ad, I expect to be jacked around but I really don't have the time and if I can't sell without much difficulty, I will keep the car. If you are serious, I'll be glad to show the car. Thank you"


FWIW... I think the seller did a fair job of representing this car.

Thanks for the lead, @cantflip, but that rust free sheet metal is calling my name, like angels from heaven. It will be looked at by a member here around 3:00pm CST, or 1:00 Oregon time. There some parts to be had, but I'd be going backwards, and unless it's something very special, I can't let myself do that. Five years ago, I would have jumped on it, got my red, A/C DASH(!) and interior. But times have changed, the analysis shows it, the numbers prove it, and if anything, head West!

Ok, I looked at the ad, and I'm gonna double down on my previous post. This car needs a lot. The interior is missing all kinds of parts, or pieces of them. Engine? Who knows, but that open, rust colored inside of the radiator doesn't look good. The patina makes my car look better. It does have a rear bumper in better shape than my car, though. These are the cars I see up here in rust country.

I do like that I'm seeing more of these 66 models around, thanks to the members here. Sure helps a lot!
