Trying to find foam core replacement that will fit the front bucket seats in my 66 Monaco Convertible. Canadian cars came with the 66 Sport Fury interior. I can find replacement foam for other years and models but not for my 66. Any help tracking down a supplier/seller would be much appreciated. Long time ago I had got the seat skins from year one when they did C Bodies. Thanks Earle
You have been a member here for almost 5 years, and this is the first we hear from you? Pictures please. You may want to see if you can get measurements for Legendary for their seat foam... 60/65 CHRYSLER A, B & C-BODY MOLDED BUCKET SEAT FOAM | Legendary Auto Interiors
Aren’t the seat backs for 66 and later taller? 1840-GTX67 Mopar 1966-67 A,B,C-body Seat Foams (Except 1966 Satellite)
To my knowledge the seat foam for 66 C body buckets is not reproduced at this time unfortunately. A good upholsterer can hand make them though, gluing bits on and shaping them with an electric carving knife. Edit... Say what??? 1840-GTX67 Mopar 1966-67 A,B,C-body Seat Foams (Except 1966 Satellite) Wow, those must be quite new to the marketplace, as I'd not seen them before. Thanks for the link @rapidtrans
In the seat cushion in particular, what's the main difference in the '65 seat foam and the '66-'68 foam items? Size? Just concerned with the seat cushion only. I would suspect the seat back foam could be done by a good trim shop rather than needing a repro item? Perhaps similar with the seat cushion, too? I don't recall either one being that "special" when compared to others, but I could be wrong in the suspicion of the seat cushion foam being the same from '65-'68 on C-body vehicles in particular. Just curious, CBODY67
From my observations the 65 seat foam upper cushions are definitely more squared off (and possibly shorter) than the 66 versions.
Thanks , will pock them again for measurements. Had just measured my brothers 68 Monaco as ref also to see what is closer. As to my beast, when I got it, I rebuilt the power train; diff, trans, springs etc. Got floor pans an trunk from parts car. Then got a Challenger driver....5 years later it ended up being restored and I'm now back at the convertibles undercarriage after it had been found in the bush for along time.
