1966 Plymouth Sport Fury Convertible - cars & trucks - by owner -...
For sale a 1966 Fury Sport convertible - virtually the last affordable vintage MOPAR.
Solid driver quality car from California. I assume it has been repainted at some point. Top was redone but not well- it is adequate at first glance but has a few small holes. Top motor works fine.
383 Commando V8. Originally a 2 barrel carburetor, now with an improved 4 barrel new (ish) Holley carb for steadier performance. Automatic transmission. Starts and runs well. Solid body. Interior is also passable at first glance with seats and carpet redone by an amateur.
I’ve been able to use this car consistently. Taken it to a few car shows and on 75 to 100 mile trips when it’s 100° out and it has performed like a champ with no overheating.
I sold my Corvette a few months ago on impulse and have been regretting it, so I’m going to move the Fury to get another Vette.
I guess I would consider a trade for a C3 Corvette of equivalent value, but I’ll ignore messages offering random stuff for trade and/or lowball offers. I’m looking for the serious person with cash who wants to come look the car over in person and haul it or drive it away. Everyone else please just don’t bother. Happy to answer questions.
