Dave, Ive known you what, 12 years? You should have kept your finished C body and simply shined the Hell out of it
Dave ... Yes, I know... Life changes as do people. Rich's 70 Polara was gorgeous and I had a original survivor 1969 Super Bee 4 speed that sat next to it in the stable... Sold both to fund a restoration for a misguided dream of a 1970 440 6 pak Super Bee... Sold that car recently too... What can I say?

Here's one, but it's a little rough everywhere IMO, priced too high for current condition, and WAY too high for restoring it any better. And as I've said somewhere else, I'm not sure a 4-speed is really a selling feature in a 'vert, as those 2 things don't necessarily go together?

1968 Plymouth Fury | eBay
Sold for $15800 on July 10 2016, then again for $11,111 on Aug 21, 2016. Available again (same seller).

You're right, I forget sometimes what you've gone through since that first conversation. .. forgive me, sometimes I forget last Saturday.

They don't necessarily go together but they don't hurt one another either. If you want a rare car, a 4 speed convertible C body is the way to go

I just meant that I don't think the 4-speed adds value to a vert like it does a hardtop.

why, because the value is already maxed out being a convertible or two different type of buyers?

Ive always thought the 4 speed added value to a convertible but since the value is already topped out it may be tough to get more

Yes with what you said (both).

I can see a 4-sp adding $4-5000 to car value (a nice #2.5 car), and same for the dropping top, but I don't see a 4-sp vert selling for $8-10k more than a 2dr hardtop with AT. Some of that also is due to a ceiling on C-bodies, it seems hard to get past $15k selling price unless the car is really special in some way.

I don't have enough market data to dredge up to develop a statistically-significant theory. It's just my opinion.
