A couple of weeks ago I met a guy at a car show swap meet area named Rex. Really Cool retired guy. Rex was interested in the shirts my daughter and I were wearing…. My daughter’s artwork of our 1968 300 Grill ("1968 Chrysler" T-shirt by Mochrie | Redbubble).

Turns out Rex also has a ‘68 300 convertible and only lives about 20 miles from me. We became friends pretty quickly and he even bought one of my daughter’s shirts at the online link above. Which she earns a few bucks from from every sale.

Anyhow, flash forward to today… got my kids up early and took a cruise up to Rex’s place. We then hopped in our cars and went to a really neat breakfast place near him at the tarmac of a local small plane airport. This is the first time in the 27 years I have owned my car that I have had the privilege of parking next to one. It’s like my cars found a long lost cousin. And my respect for Rex is even stronger after spending time with him today. We are going to find lots of opportunities to cruise together in the near future. (His car is in amazing condition btw).
