"converted with factory parts"
I knew it had to be as soon as I read it was a '68.
So it is not a factory 4 speed car,but no shame in that if it was done properly.
For the record, the 4 speed was available in C's with 383HP/440HP --but they simply did not advertised it.
In some brochures it ws not even mentioned.
If you wanted it you had to special order it.
It was quietly dropped for good in 1969.
No mention in the online ad of the 4 speed however there are pics. Looks great!
1968 Chrysler 300 2DR Hardtop For Sale | AutaBuy.com
Looks nice, but somehow I knew it would be a bench seat car.
No A/C. . .
You guys are corrupting me...
Agreed. And it appears they attended to every detail. Right down to the blank transmission indicator.
Does his price seem to be retail? otherwise I like the car.
68 300 came standard with bucket seats and buddy seat/arm rest.
Bench seat was a no cost option.
It was common for some people to want the bench. Not rare but nowadays it is odd.
Seat pattern is from base Newport model.
nothing is cooler than a 4 speed with a bench seat.
Puts a new meaning to "behind the 8 ball" Lol!!
my sweetheart is going to love sitting in the middle of the bench seat especially when we are in 4th gear.
Needs a console....
I was going to say a 4spd & bench seat is a easy path to cop a cheap feel with the girlfriend but I won't.
Getting "me too'd" with a shifter ball was probably a lot more common back in the 60s, and most likely welcomed.... in today's times though it might result in 4-speeds being outlawed.
I can already envision the headline on CNN: "Woman Blames Carmaker for "Misogynist" Transmission after "Assault" During Shift to 4th Gear"
From the pics it looks to be done right. Great color and would that be fun to drive.
