Hello,

I have a 1968 Chrysler Newport Convertible that I inherited from my late grandfather that is in need of some love. The convertible isn’t in the greatest shape and all the windows show 50+ years of age, bubbling, hard to see through etc.

The top doesn’t have a glass window either, which I know my grandfather really wanted to add.

Does anyone have any recommendations on finding replacements for these?

Thank you for your time.

Welcome to the site. I replaced the top and window (glass) on my 68 300 maybe 20 years ago. I could have sworn I got it from YearOne at that time, but I don’t see any C-Body info on their website now...

I did a quick Google search and found this: 1967-1968 Dodge, Plymouth and Chrysler convertible top, glass rear window and pads-Black Stayfast canvas. :: Convertible tops & related :: Convertible Top Specialists

Might be worth giving them a call and inquiring a bit more. Hopefully you’ll get some other leads too.

Congrats and welcome to the forum!

The "glass" convertible rear window was originally a Ford innovation from the more-middle '60s. Some even had a "hinge" in the middle so it could "fold". At this point in time, just specify that you want one in your new top, from the vendor.

Just some thoughts,
