Does anyone know how to remove/attach the stainless trim on '68 Imperials? I'm talking about the two long rows of thin stainless trim along the sides. I assume it is some sort of plastic or metal retainers, but not sure. If those retainers are still available, that would also be appreciated. Pictures would be nice to see as well.

Might need to look at the inside of the sheet metal they are attached to? I suspect they will have studs and nuts, but I could be wrong.

Just a thought,

It will be a mix of plastic clips and nuts.

Plastic clips where the backside is not accessible.

Nuts are usually found towards the backs of the quarters, both ends of each door trim piece, and the front fenders. You usually have to remove the inner fender extension to access the nuts for the fender trim.

New plastic clips are not likely to be available, so be careful.
