Up for auction is a 1969 Chrysler Newport. Owned by the same family since new. It has been stored in a dry barn since 1985.

Engine is 383 that starts right up and runs well. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly. Installed a new master cylinder and the brakes work fine. Exhaust is a little loud.

The body is in pretty good shape. The floors and trunk are really solid. There is some rust in the lower quarters behind the wheels. Tires are a bit old. There is some missing trim but it is pretty cheap on line.

The interior is ok. During its storage, the headliner made a nice home for a family of mice they left a few holes. The interior lights work as do the instruments and gauges.

neat old newp. yes, surely quite fairly priced to me (subject to an inspection of the rust issues pictured and any not visible from photos). hope it finds a good home .. minus the "rat rod" stuff of course.

I'd do 25 and have a great road trip home, I paid 200 for a 69 Polara in lesser condition because it was what I wanted.

The outside looks great, but then open the doors, trunk, and hood - Ouch!

Front valance, front fenders lower parts, rockers and quarters looks rusty...

it is priced at 1700$$
I think that is reasonable.

Could be a decent daily driver after fixing it up technically

I'm tired of bodywork. I'd love to buy that car and put a 500/500 in it and drive it as is.
And yes. That stroker would look like a 383.

It will drive with rust, too.
Trust me.
I have experience in driving cars with rust
